People always argue that the more expensive clothes are the best quality, while others argue that less expensive clothing is the better quality! Well today I am going to discuss whether I think quantity (price) or quality is more important.
I use to be someone who believed that quantity (expensive) meant that the quality was great, because why would it be that expensive if it was not a great quality that lasts long right? Ha. Yeah right! 🙃 Man I was wrong! Quantity DOES NOT = quality to me. In many instances, when I was younger I would buy the more expensive item(s) and they did not last as long as some of the less expensive item(s). As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that a lot of these retailers and boutiques have the same items, but sell them at different prices and slap their labels on the item(s). In cases like this, quantity is not important because they are both of the same quality. Now while I’ve argued that quantity is not as important, I do believe that you get what you pay for…I have my preferences when it comes to certain items.
For instance, my favorite jeans are from Torrid, they run for about $80. My favorite purses are from Kate Spade, they can range anywhere from $200-500. My favorite leggings are from Torrid, they can be anywhere from $20-40.
Now someone may say why would you pay that much for these simple items?
- I never said that I pay full price! I am what I like to call bourgeoisie on a budget. 😌
- I learned that with these particular items quantity = quality .
Qualitative analysis means to measure something by its quality, while Quantitative analysis is when you measure by the quantity rather than quality. To me, no one is right or wrong in this argument. For me, quality > quantity. However, in some instances, quality = quantity. It’s truly up to the consumer! Sometimes you have to experiment in order to formulate your own theory. Just don’t get caught up in brand names and prices all the time, no matter whether you believe quantity > quality or quality > quantity, it is all about how you wear it. There have been many times when I’ve seen someone have on designer clothing but it did not suit them well, nor did it equal quality. You have to know how to wear it! That’s all it boils down to…
